SAMBA+ 4.13.9 has just been released by SerNet. Packages for various SUSE and Red Hat platforms as well as for Debian GNU/Linux, Ubuntu and AIX are available now.

SAMBA+ 4.13 and 4.14 packages are now also available for AlmaLinux 8 and Debian 11 Bullseye.

SAMBA+ AIX are SerNet’s Samba packages for IBM's AIX Unix operating system. The packages have minimal dependencies on third-party libraries or other external package sources – but come with a lot of advantages and support a lot of features. SAMBA+ 4.14.4, 4.13.8 and 4.12.15 have just been released by SerNet. The Samba software packages for various SUSE and Red Hat platforms as well as for Debian GNU/Linux, Ubuntu and AIX. are available now. Please note, that these are important security releases. Affected systems should be updated as soon as possible.

The packages address the following issue:

  • CVE-2021-20254: Negative idmap cache entries can cause incorrect group entries in the Samba file server process token

  • Talks by SerNet colleagues: Numerous talks at various events have been recorded over the years. We have compiled them here. 

Videos of sambaXP 2021 will also be published by the Orga Committee on the new YouTube channel. In addition, more content on Samba and SAMBA+ is being planned. More recordings of past sambaXPs will also find their way to YouTube. Until then, all materials up to the first sambaXP in 2002 are accessible in our archive
